My brother took this picture of me today with his camera phone:
The family met in the park for my grandmother's birthday today. My grandma is...um... interesting. She is in her 70's, but still likes to wear short skirts, go dancing, and get drunk with her boyfriend. A lot of people might think that is totally "rad" of my grandma, but to me it is a little over the top. I think I started feeling this way when I was 17 and she tried to convince me that I could have a baby. She had a baby at 17, after all, and look how it turned out for her! I think that was the same day that she tried to get me to dance the Macarena with her in the Golden Corral parking lot. Uh, no thanks grandma.

Hi Beck! Nice picture. Being a relative newcomer (9 years and counting) to the family, I kind of have that same, "Um, how am I supposed to react to that?", kind of feeling. At the same time, she's my husband's Grandma, and so has become my Grandma, so I just kind of try to head the conversation in other directions, when I can . . . . she has said some things that are um well have left me kind of speechless . . . but I don't want to hurt her feelings so I'm not sure what to do either.
Grandma Hamm. MMMmmmm. Ham. She really is a disturbing, disturbing person. By the way, that's a very nice picture of you, Beck. By the who, I have a new post up at my blog (finally). Shawna thinks it's the funniest one ever.
Hey Beck! I'm guessing it's in the Post Template section under like Settings or Formatting or some such hud in the Dashboard, where I add things like your Today's Cereal and Current Mood? Do I need to do any special html or just type it in there with any or whatnot around it to bold it? And it'll show in every post and I fill it in with that day's whatever I feel like?
I want to do Today's Movie Quote: and Actor Crush of the Day: (ie Harrison Ford, Gregory Peck, whatever I feel like that day).
oh, and I fixed my sidebar, mostly. There's a bit off with the borders but at least it's back up to the top in IE!
Yup, Grandma Ham. Saturday she had to make sure I knew that even though I am a nursing mother, her boobs are still bigger than mine. Whatever, grandma. You win, okay?

Wow Beck! Your picture looks great! I love your new haircut. It is definitely you! I am surprised that a camera phone can take such quality pictures. Maybe I won't be so hestitant in using my camera phone in the future.
As for Grandma Higgs, she is definitely a strange one, but if she didn't say and do things that is so out of this world, we would never take notice of her. She is truly one of a kind.
